TAP 050 - Why Anxiety Is Like Surfing a Wave


Episode 50!  

In this episode I talk about a recent surfing experience I had and how it made me think a lot about Anxiety.  I go into detail about how surfing is similar to overcoming Anxiety.  A beautiful analogy you can consider with your own journey.

In this particular episode you will learn:

- Why being uncomfortable is often necessary in order to recover

- You need to pick your moments when to engage and when to take care of yourself

- Why we must embrace the waves instead of trying avoid them or run away

- You've done some work but there is always more to do

- There will be setbacks

- The feelings of fear/ excitement are very similar

- You will fall off from time to time but that doesn't mean it's over

- It takes a long time to get good at surfing and it takes a long time to get good at life

- Ultimately being alive is the best feeling there is
